With the rising gas prices, we’ve all seen the shift from big SUV’s to smaller, more compact cars that are better on gas. If you’re sick of paying $3.00 a gallon for a vehicle that gets only 10 miles per gallon, then consider the Honda Civic, the Toyota Corolla or the Kia Spectra. These three cars are great on gas because of their small size. Even if you don’t drive like grandma, these cars will still save you a ton of money.
The Honda Civic is the only one of these three that makes a hybrid model which drives comfortably and gets unbeatable gas mileage. Why not consider going from paying $60-$70 a week to just $10 a month with a new Honda Civic Hybrid? Your wallet will certainly thank you for this change. Honda Cherokee Manual
If you’re not looking for a hybrid, check out the regular model. This car comes in different models so you can choose if you want the most economical, or a car that is a bit expensive but has a few added luxuries like a leather interior, but still comes with the great gas mileage you would expect in the cheapest model. The Honda Civic is a very affordable compact car that will save you a lot of money on gas.
The Toyota Corolla is known for being very dependable. With Toyotas, parts are also easy to find and you won’t pay a fortune if something happens to go wrong. This car is very small so if you’re looking for a lot of extra leg or head room, buying something bigger is probably a better option for you. Toyota Haynes Repair Manual
The Toyota Corolla handles great and you’ll never have to worry about being stranded on the side of the road because this is a very reliable car. This car is also very affordable. If you’re looking for your first car, or just looking to downgrade to something affordable and great on gas, you should definitely check out the Toyota Corolla.
The Kia Spectra is another option for a compact car that’s great on gas. This car is also very small but it gets great gas mileage and recently Kia has added more user friendly options in the car.
If you’re looking for a car that’s great on gas mileage and will save you money, these three options are all worth looking into!

Although there are many sedans on the market today that will give you all of the room you may need, they may leave you feeling uncomfortable in the cheap interior or because of the bad handling and uncomfortable ride. The 2009 model year is ending and with the economic turn downwards automakers are pushing to sell their excess inventory and are offering huge deals on luxury vehicles. Because of the high mark up of a luxury vehicle you the consumer can get a new luxury vehicle for base invoice pricing or even below if you work it rite. There are a few good options for the entry level luxury vehicle, the Infiniti G35, the Acura TL and the best of the three the Mercedes Benz C class.
The Infiniti G35 is really produced by Nissan and is an upgraded version of the Maxima. IT offers everything you would want in a luxury car except the luxury. Haynes Nissan Manual
The Infiniti G35 has amazing handling, a great safety record and a beautifully designed exterior. However the car is more like your basic Nissan with leather seats, guess that is how they make those huge profits over at Nissan. It sells new for thirty thousand dollars for the basic model and has a base invoice price of twenty eight thousand dollars.
The Acura TL is one of the best overall entry level luxury sedans. It has an amazing 286-hp 3.5-liter V6 engine that might get you into to trouble on the highway with police. But the comfortable ride and great suspension lets you know you are in a luxury vehicle at all times. One thing that is lagging is the interior again it is just like Honda threw in some leather seats, the interior is probably the least desirable design of any luxury car on the market today. It retails for thirty five thousand dollars for the basic model but has a base invoice price of twenty nine thousand dollars.
The Mercedes C class is nothing short of breath taking and one of the best designed cars Mercedes has ever produced. Mercedes Haynes Repair Manual
The car would probably be on back order if it were not for the economic down turn. But if you are one of the few that has the cash to spend then you are in luck because Mercedes has slashed all its prices to unload their excess inventory.
If you end up buying new hold your ground when bargaining a little extra patience can save you thousands of dollars. The used luxury market is a sketchy one at best so make sure you bring along a mechanic, car dealerships love making body repairs to cover up previous accidents or restoring totaled ones.
