Still Looking Very Good On Car Sales

It would seem that after the car scrappage scheme ended there was a big prediction that the sales of new cars would plummet by a lot but it would seem that it has done quite the opposite as for the tenth consecutive month it would seem car sales are on the up!.

The scheme itself ended at the very end of March but with this in mind it would seem that April has brought a rise in new car registrations, a massive increase of 11.5%. These figures have helped the society of motor manufacturers and traders to take a look at the yearly forecast that they did at the beginning of the year and make a bit of a change to it, this is good news indeed.

There have been concerns by many people that this is still very early on and that the end of the scrappage scheme and the recent raise of the VAT again in January could still make people think twice when it comes to actually buying a new car. Although people are in celebration because it was a good month it would seem that it has been the slowest in 2010 so far.

People are really wondering on whether it is worth buying a new car now`? Many of the sellers now know that it is going to be very hard indeed to sell cars which is why the price war begins and consumers can take advantage of this. This is really good for all of the potential customers because there are so many people out there still short on money.

I would say that the best time to get a new car is sooner rather than later because if the industry does pick up again you will be looking at an increase in prices.

On top of this there are many deals on car accessories especially on things such as pressure washers and satellite navigation.

How I Saved Some Cash this Summer

The summer is over and its time to return to University for more boring lectures and boozing too much.

At least this year I’ve managed to save some useful cash after working like a dog all summer. I’ve been dead jealous of my mates who’d headed off to Europe and various other places. But at least I’ve got a bank account that’s in the black, unlike the way it started the summer.

I started the summer with a cleaning job working in various Heathrow hotels. The work was really hard with tight schedules to stick to and very early starts every day. I have a lot of respect for the hard working people I met who do this work all year round.

Since I’d recently passed my driving test I was really looking for a driving job. So when a friend told me of another, better paid job over at Stansted airport I was all for it. I became a valet, parking and retrieving cars for people in the maze of Stansted airport parking lots. This was a great job, giving me the opportunity to drive all sorts of fantastic cars. From top of the range Mercedes to the latest Fiat 500, and I got some excellent tips.

While working at Stansted I met a guy who was so impressed with my driving that he asked if I’d be interested in working for his car leasing and contract hire firm. The money on offer was much more than I was earning as a valet and there was an excellent bonus scheme. So after only two weeks working as a car parking valet I was off to yet another job. This time delivering cheap lease cars to customers throughout the south east.

I really loved this work and my boss has told me that there will be a job there for me at Christmas and Easter if I am up for it. I enjoyed the work so much that I am thinking about going to work for him when I finish my degree next year. For me this was definitely a summer well spent.
