I bought a high end car audio System in March 2010 and only used it for a few months. I tried selling on craigslist, even slashed the price by 75%, but not one bite!!
I live in the Bay Area, U.S.

Did you buy it locally ? if so have you priced it online? in some cases dealer markup is 200%. So your used price might not be much cheaper than online pricing.
Do not expect to get more than 50% of the cheapest price you can find.

I am looking to get some better audio Equipment in my car. the current stuff is standard, but it is rly not loud enough sometimes, the sounds not that great, and it lacks bass. So i know very little about all this stuff and i could really use some suggestions. I am looking to make my sound clearer, louder, and some more bass. I know that ill prob need an amp if i want a sub, but what other options are there? im willing to spend about $400

You can add a powered sub to a factory System for about that amount. Every cars application is different. Many places like Best Buy have such Installations available. Start with that & move on up to a better head unit, speakers, amps, etc… as money allows.
