Insuring Audio Equipment in car?

Im looking into buying a 1995 Celica ST. It has been severely customized and has an insane stereo set. Can the stereo be insured and will it cost me a bundle to do so?

Yes, some insurance companies have an option where you can insurance the audio Equipment in your car. I believe Allstate or State Farm may be the ones that do this. I would check with your current insurance provider first to see if they offer something like this.

Be aware that you will probably have to pay a little bit more on your premiums for this additional coverage.

You normally can add coverage for customization but you must first purchase regular comprehensive or regular comprehensive and collision coverage first, then add the additional customization. You can’t get liability only and then just get insurance for the stereo only or only the stereo and the customized parts. Because of this the cost would probably be very expensive and maybe not even worth it.
