I believe I shorted my car when trying to take out car audio equipment. How do I get the car to start?

I had two amps in my car, a sub, and four spks. The spks were putting out a very loud, very high pitched noise, like that of a DJ scratching records, so I turned the car off and unplugged the amp connected to the spks. When I went to start the car, I heard the bass thump once, and then everything went dead. I cannot start the car. However, when I put the key in, the car beep signaling that the doors are opened still goes off, so electricity is still flowing. Can anyone help me restart my car?

Try looking in the fuse box. Good Luck

Well hopefully you taped off the power wire going to the amp you disconnected and it didnt send power to the frame of your car cause if you did you could have fried anything include the cars cpu which is expensive as hell if you did that and you do get the car to start i would take it to a shop or make sure that everything that might be a safty hazard is working before you start driving
